WEST RING ROAD OF THE LANE OF MESTRE - USAGE OF THE EMERGENCY LANE AS THIRD LANE OF MARCH, Mestre - VENICE
The Venice-Padua highways company has launched an integrated contract for the transormation of the emergency lane of Mestre West Ring Road into the third lane of travel. The contract involved the preparation of an executive project of the following civil and plant works.
Civil and structural works: adaptation of the acceleration and deceleration lanes, contructions of lay-bys on viaducts and embankments, of emergency stairways, of pedestrian safety paths, of a fire-fighting system, of divider gates, replacement of guard rails, installation of sound-absorbing barriers, resurfacing of the pavement and of the road signs.
Plant and telematic works: fibre optic backbone, automatic accident detection system, surveillance video, variable message signs, strengthening of the central management system and of the lighting system.
